DESCRIPTION:This Easter the theme for the three day theatre workshop is the fab children’s book ‘The Man Whose Mother Was A Pirate!’ by Margaret Mahy. \nSam is an ordinary person who wears an ordinary suit and ordinary shoes. He works in an ordinary\, neat office writing down figures all day and underlining them. But Sam’s mother is definitely not an ordinary woman\, Sam’s mother is a pirate and she wants to sweep him away to sea…On their journey with a wheelbarrow and a kite Sam and his mother meet farmers\, philosophers\, animals and of course PIRATES! \nDuring the three days the group will create a variety of scenery and props to contribute to the set and characters\, they will work on their stage skills through script work\, dance routines and songwriting AND they get to perform everything they have learnt to adoring family & friends at the end of the workshop. \nIf you are booking 2 or more siblings remember to use code EASTERSIBLING10 for a 10% discount. SUMMARY:Kids Outdoor Shakespeare
DESCRIPTION:These unique outdoor sessions at Minchinhampton Youth Centre with small groups are aimed at introducing and inspiring children to the amazing world of Shakespeare in a relaxed\, safe and fun way. A fantastic opportunity for children in school years 2-5 who have not yet returned to school. \nThe first week will involve exploring the most famous Shakespeare quotes and developing a fun ‘Shakespearean’ insult battle horrible histories style.  If popular\, Dazzle will continue these sessions for another three weeks until the start of the summer holidays. Those booked on to the first session will have priority to book the remaining three weeks. The group will have fun exploring the Elizabethan language\, working on fantastic translated scenes from ‘Harry Potter’\, ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Toy Story’! The course will include themed craft activities such as ruff making and sword decorating and optional pieces to work on and enjoy at home. Any craft activities will be prepared and stored three days in advance. There will be gazebos for shade from the sun or rain. The session will be cancelled and refunded if the weather is too bad.\nYour child will need to bring a water bottle\, clipboard\, pencil and a cushion to sit on and please ensure your child wears warm clothing\, a sun hat if sunny and sun cream is applied before the session. \nIt is important you read and understand the below before booking a place for your child: \nThese sessions are for children in school years 2-5 only who have not yet returned to school\nHand sanitizer to be used at the start and end of each session\nSocial distancing rules will be adhered to during the session\nParents must book and pay on-line and provide all of the information requested\nOnly 5 children are permitted on each session\nPlease be aware there are no toilet facilities outdoors\nParents must not stay during the session\nInstructions for drop off and collection will be emailed after booking. \nThank you for your understanding and please contact sarah@dazzleworkshops.co.uk with any concerns or questions. \n  \n  \n

Let Dazzle take you on a trip to the gritty side of Victorian London and become a cheeky street urchin as you dance\, sing\, act and have fun at the Oliver musical theatre workshop in Minchinhampton this Easter.\nDevelop your cockney accent as you work on your characters as member of Fagin’s gang\, learn upbeat feel good routines to the musicals endlessly catchy songs including the cracking finale number ‘Consider Yourself’ and of course\, learn how to pick a pocket or two.\nLots of props and costumes are provided but please feel free to dress up ‘Victorian’ style. Whether you wear a top hat or a flat cap .. consider yourself one of us!\nThe Hub\, Tobacconist Road\, Minchinhampton\nFor children aged 5-11\nTuesday April 13th – Thursday April 15th\n9.15am-12pm & 1.15pm-4pm each day\nYour child must be collected in between the morning and afternoon sessions.
