SUMMARY:Easter Holiday Club - Week 2
DESCRIPTION:Dazzle is thrilled to confirm that our Easter holiday clubs will go ahead after the UK Government rubber stamped guidance for out of school childcare settings as part of the recent roadmap to recovery. The Easter holiday club will once again be adapted from the true ‘normal‘ of camps to ensure we offer a COVID-19 safe environment for all including socially distanced activities\, small groups and maintaining school bubbles where possible. As it stands\, until April 12th\, holiday club providers can run in Easter providing care for children indoors as long as parents meet a certain criteria: Where it is reasonably necessary to enable their parents and carers to work\, search for work\, undertake education or training\, or attend a medical appointment or address a medical need\, or attend a support group. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Easter Holiday Club 2021\n \n \n\n\n\nWe have been worked hard to implement changes to our programme to allow us to operate safely within the current Public Health England parameters\, whilst still ensuring the children in our care have as much fun as possible. \nA DAZZLE Holiday Club offers fun\, active\, creative days for children in school years reception to year 7. A personal ‘home from home’ experience with small groups allowing us to connect and develop relationships with each other.\nEvery day is different and includes a variety of structured activities including team sports\, drama games\, sustainable craft activities\, yoga inspired games and silly fun. Whatever your child enjoys there is something for them\, as well as opportunities to try lots of new activities\, develop new interests and skills within a caring and inclusive environment. The children are encouraged to join in with all of the activities but we want the children to feel at home\, relax and hang out with their friends. \nThere is a team of experienced\, enthusiastic and engaging team leaders ready to entertain\, inspire\, guide and keep the kids active and happy.\nWe are very lucky to have the sole use of Minchinhampton Youth Centre. The green spaces surrounding the centre and on-site astro turf offer lots of opportunities for secure outdoor activities. The centre building has a selection of areas including a full size sports hall allowing easier social distancing and cosy sofas for relaxing. There is ample free parking for safer\, easier drop off and collection..\nAt Dazzle we are aiming towards plastic free with craft activities and equipment. Compost and recycling bins are used during snack and lunch breaks. \nWeek 1: Tuesday April 6th-April 8th (please book children where it is reasonably necessary to enable their parents and carers to work\, search for work\, undertake education or training\, or attend a medical appointment or address a medical need\, or attend a support group)\nWeek 2: Tuesday April 13th-15th\n8.45am-4pm each day\nPriority booking available for one week (three days) £100\n15 places available each day \nBefore you book\, it is important you read and understand the below but please see the full Covid-19 Risk Assessment on the documents page on dazzleworkshops.co.uk covering all of the points in more detail.\n*Government advice is to consider sending your child to the same\, local setting consistently\, in order to prevent your child from mixing with multiple different groups of children. Therefore Dazzle is giving priority to those booking a full week (three days each week) before opening up single day bookings. Children should be encouraged to attend settings close to where they live or go to school. This should\, ideally\, be within walking or cycling distance.\n*Our clubs will operate in a ‘Covid Secure’ way with greatly enhanced hygiene and cleaning routines\, contactless booking\, extra staff training and social distancing encouraged at all times. Our clubs will run in a different way to normal\, with an adapted programme of activities with the ‘free play’ impacted the most and a more structured schedule together as a group.\n*Capacities will be reduced from normal levels of 25 to a maximum of 15 children each day. The government guideline is to keep to small groups of 15. Although we could accept more children this would mean separating the children into different groups with no mixing between the groups. This has also resulted in a slight\, temporary cost increase which will be amended when it is safe to allow more numbers and no extra Covid costs/expenses. We would advise you to book your sessions as soon as you know which dates you require in order to avoid disappointment\n*Parents will not be permitted inside the centre building when dropping off and collecting their children and will be required to wait outside\, following the current socially distancing guidelines.\n*Children will be required to use hand sanitiser as they enter and leave the building and the team will be checking hand washing after toilet breaks. Social distancing will be encouraged between the children and the team with allocated hall spaces and individual equipment\, but during first aid and care of children\, closer contact may be necessary.\n*If your child is showing symptoms of Covid-19 such as a new consistent cough or a high temperature your child must not attend Dazzle and should self-isolate in accordance with government guidelines. A refund will not be offered unless with a minimum weeks notice of the booking or if a suitable replacement booking is found.\n*If a child or member of staff shows signs of Covid-19 they will be sent home and advised to follow the stay at home guidelines. A parent or carer must be available to contact during the child’s time at Dazzle. If a child\, family or staff member develops Covid-19 all parents of children attending on the same day will be contacted\nand Dazzle will be unable to offer its clubs for at least 7 days.\n*If you do choose to book now\, we would like you to do so with full confidence. Please rest assured that if a class or course is unable to open due to a Covid-19 infection and we are unable to offer you the sessions that you have booked\, we will provide you with a refund\, for the full value of all sessions cancelled. A refund can only be offered with a weeks cancellation. \nWe hope that you and your families stay safe and well during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you and your children at our clubs soon! \nPlease check the current government guidelines:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/protective-measures-for-holiday-or-after-school-clubs-and-other-out-of-school-settings-for-children-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/protective-measures-for-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak#considering-group-sizes

Compost and recycling bins are used during snack and lunch breaks.\nWeek 1: Tuesday April 6th-April 8th (please book children where it is reasonably necessary to enable their parents and carers to work\, search for work\, undertake education or training\, or attend a medical appointment or address a medical need\, or attend a support group)\nWeek 2: Tuesday April 13th-15th\n8.45am-4pm each day\nPriority booking available for one week (three days) £100\n15 places available each day\nBefore you book\, it is important you read and understand the below but please see the full Covid-19 Risk Assessment on the documents page on dazzleworkshops.co.uk covering all of the points in more detail.\n*Government advice is to consider sending your child to the same\, local setting consistently\, in order to prevent your child from mixing with multiple different groups of children. A refund can only be offered with a weeks cancellation.\nWe hope that you and your families stay safe and well during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you and your children at our clubs soon!\nPlease check the current government guidelines:https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/protective-measures-for-holiday-or-after-school-clubs-and-other-out-of-school-settings-for-children-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/protective-measures-for-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak#considering-group-sizes

SUMMARY:Boyz Dance Club
DESCRIPTION:BOYZ DANCE CLUB\nA boys only dance course for young boys aged 5-11. Exploring creative and dynamic routines\, getting outdoors\, using up energy and providing a physical and creative experience. \nBoys need their own space to feel safe to express themselves\, their emotions\, energy\, dynamics and their creativity. There are lots of boys who want to dance and Dazzle feels very passionate about making this opportunity for them! \n“My son loves dancing but he won’t go to a dance class?” To be honest\, I don’t blame them. As a dance teacher\, this is what I hear the most from parents\, frustrated because they want to provide an outlet for their son to learn some new skills doing something he enjoys. \nI aim to make Dazzles dance classes an active\, non-gender\, athletic and fresh experience for everyone. But peer pressure and pre-conceptions from such a young age are just too hard to battle against. As most dance clubs are full of girls they\, therefore\, cater to the majority who attend\, influencing the dance styles\, music and costume choices. I have been guilty of this in the past. Most boys will simply not walk through the door when they see a blur of pink and Little Mix blaring from the music system! Just as we see the benefits of girls training and competing separately in sport\, boys also need their own space to explore dance. Get them on a football pitch or a park\, use props such as basketballs\, swords or scooters. \nOver the years there have been inspirations and role models who have made it acceptable\, accessible and cool for boys and men to dance\, Gene Kelly\, Fred Astaire\, Billy Elliott\, Diversity\, George Sampson and Strictly Come Dancing. Boys love the competition\, the judges\, the creativity\, the costumes and the dancing on Strictly!  But they also see the skill\, the physical strength\, the competitive spirit and the respect the men gain. \n“Dance is a physical and athletic activity requiring great skill\, strength\, and agility. Sounds like an ideal fit for energetic boys… so where are they?? In general\, the current perception is that dance is not a “manly” activity. Men who dance must be in top physical form but the beauty and elegance masks the blood\, sweat\, and tears it seems we like to see from men in our culture. Therefore\, the grittier athletic activities are favoured for boys\, while dance is considered a better pursuit for girls. But to a young boy or teen pursuing dance\, the road is often anything but simple.”\nNichelle Suzanne owner/editor of Dance Advantage. www.danceadvantage.net
